ISPS STCW Proficiency In Designated Security Duties (PDSD) Course

What is it?

This course gives the student the required knowledge to enhance maritime security awareness by recognising security threats and understanding the need for and methods of maintaining security awareness and vigilance as described in STCW table A-VI/6-2. The course can be tailored to suit the needs of the client.

Who needs it?

Seafarers working onboard vessels with designated security duties. Note: There is no requirement for the candidate to have completed security awareness training before being enrolled on a designated security duties training course.

How long does it take?

One day.

Where can it be done?

On board a superyacht, in a hotel conference room or in our classroom in London.

Upon successful completion

Successful candidates will receive a STCW recognised Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD) certificate approved by the UK Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA).
